Pebble, in German Kiesel, is a long term project of Juliette Chrétien. The starting point was a grey field of pebbles. Through sorting the grey small stones into their respective colors the uniqueness of every single fragment caught her attention. Ever since she was occupied with the question are we together or unique? Focusing on the disturbing or in this question and while time is passing Juliette Chrétien accumulate pebble after pebble.

Flow

The whole project started with a book where stones were sorted by colour and this meditative work of sorting was reflected in the book. In close collaboration with the artist and author, a book was created where the meditative status was brought into focus and the colours of the stones determined the drama of the book.

TRANSFORMATION

In the end, the book developed further and out of the project came another project METAMORPH with the artist Juliette Chretien.
